Making t-shirt designs for my rally is next on my list. You can also get a lot of seeker shirts from cafepress.

Thanks Jim!  I'm thinking we need to make some banners and signs to carry.  Contact press closer to the event to get coverage and also encourage everyone to have the appropriate t-shirt attire.  Any other ideas you have, please let me know.

And there will be the stop at the Irish pub, McGinty's, post gathering!!!!

Excellent,

Please promote this on the other sites and start keeping organization notes here too.

I post on on imdb for LotS, on the Confessor and Seeker Society fansite, on several LotS FB sites and tweeted it as well.  I'll keep posting!!!!

Fellow fans, there is no place like New York City for a rally. We can even take the train in. We need more publicity and the sooner the better. The longer that we wait, we lose supporters and Disney-ABC may forget about LOTS.

Our fans need focus and want to feel like things are happening. The rally is also about them, we need to boost morale.  Besides, all of us together will be fun. We can argue about Kahlan or Cara.

Judging from the addresses, there are a great many studio headquarters at the same location. To quote the proverbial saying.....We can kill several birds with one stone. Maybe Craig Engler will invite us for a soda.

Any chance that we have to get ourselves out in front of the public, we should. One rally will feed off of another. It will be contagious. The naysayers will join in. Be ready for the initial turnout to be small, then it will grow. More than one rally at a location will be needed. So, please don't think in terms of one rally. Its like letters, you can't just send one. Hey, they say New York City is a "heck" of a town. Maybe we can even see some sites. A good time for all.

The event will be peaceful and fun. Have no worries. I will contact the authorities and see what we need to do. We will obey the law to the letter.

So, let's give it a try. What do we have to lose? The news media will cover us. Until we have a rally, the naysayers will not take the matter seriously.

Hey all:  I live in Maryland and am happy to organize a rally in Silver Spring, MD (Discovery Building - 30% owned by Disney).  I think this is a better option than DC itself.  On the National Mall we will get lost and have a hard time getting media coverage.  It will be easier to get media coverage in Silver Spring.  Here is a link to the downtown SS area so people can see what I am talking about:

http://www.silverspringcenter.com/

It also has easy access to public transportation and public parking.  (Metro Red Line)

Between the responses here and on other SoS fan sites, I think we can put together a good size crowd!

I am most willing to help with the event. Just let me know how you wish to proceed.

I have a Save Our Seeker Logo made by the same graphic artist that did the one for the Pass It Along video. I am going to email it to you.

I'm planning on a 3x8 banner. Will message you with the prospective design soon.

Monday is Call Everyone Day. Since Disney is slow about replying to my email, I'll just give them a call and plan on spending some time being transferred from person to person.

Permits for the mall area shouldn't be too much trouble, though.

Looks good. Would be sweet if you could get a nice big banner and face it towards the highway and get some drivers by to stop in. I used to live in that area and know I-4 gets a lot of traffic by Disney. Have you found out anything about getting a permit for it yet?

This is where we're having the initial rally. Disney is about a mile south of here. (We won't be rallying at Disney, since they informed us that they would call security, but we can go individually.)   Efactoryoutlets.com - Orlando Premium Outlets          (407) 238-7787           8200 Vineland Ave, Orlando, FL

This is what it looks like. The part in the blue circle looks promising, behind the fence. It's along I-4, which means lots of traffic. And from the last pic you can see there are a lot of hotels around.

NEW!

Another location if the group gets too big for the first venue: Disney's Character Connection (407) 828-2445     12509 Sr-535, Orlando, FL
